For nearly 90 years, a legend has quietly and steadfastly guarded the Haomei community: the Haomei windbreak forest that keeps Haomei from being engulfed in blowing sand. Because of land subsidence, an irreversible disaster, these silent coastal trees suffer from standing water in every plum rain season, typhoon season and spell of heavy rain, gradually withering and dying… So the "ditch and embankment" method was used for restoration, which not only reforested the area well and solved the flooding problem, but also created another "coastal landscape of beauty."
